A big Thank you to all of those who tried my new Facebook application - Facebook Spectrum and for providing feedback. A few weeks back, I added a nice feature to it - a real-time search of the posts (status messages, links, videos etc) on Facebook. Its very simple to use - Just enter your keyword and hit Enter. Watch the posts as they come in to Facebook from all over the world. And best of all, You don't even have to login to Facebook. I couldn't post a screenshot here as it would reveal the names and pictures of the users.. But if you are interested, check it out on www.facebookspectrum.com Happy searching..

Facebook Spectrum - Analytics for your Facebook account
Last month I created an application called Facebook Spectrum that displays the metrics for your Facebook account. Many of you must have - atleast for once - wondered how your Facebook friends span out in terms of number of videos they post, the number of albums they have, who else share your likes etc.. I have gathered those metrics in this application and even better, they are displayed in a much more readable format - using maps, charts and graphs. Go ahead and try it out if it looks like this is of any interest to you..At the time of writing this post, here is what you can get from the application:
- Where your friends are located on a Google map
- A timeline view of your or your friends' posts with thumbnails
- A 3D spherical view of all your friends..
- Who among your friends has the most number of albums?
- Who among your friends has the most number of pictures?
- Whose profile is the most active in the last 30 days?
- How many mutual friends do you share with your FB friends?
- How many of your friends like what you like?
- A calendar view to disply your friends birthdays, Also gives you a list of upcoming birthdays
- How are your friends distributed with respect to gender
- How are your friends distributed with respect to education
